Lifestyle Officer

A rare and exciting opportunity exists for a Permanent Part time Lifestyle Officer to join us at Riverview.

The successful candidate will spend one on one time with residents, and also run group recreational and leisure activities that enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of Riverview residents. The job will also involve documentation of resident participation and engagement levels, and undertaking lifestyle care plan reviews.

Hours of work will be 10.30- 4pm Sat and Sun every second weekend, plus 9-5 Tuesday and Wednesday each week.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Holds and maintains a satisfactory police check no more than 3 years’ old
  • DHS Working with Vulnerable persons check
  • Influenza Vaccinated


  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent (or willing to undertake)
  • Previous experience working in Aged Care
  • Full SA Drivers Licence

The ideal person will have excellent initiative, and will be outgoing, bright, and bubbly, with a sense of humour and ability to be flexible, who loves brightening the day of others’ and making a difference in the lives of the elderly.

Board Member Governance Scholarship


The Board of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc recognises both the importance of good governance and the complexity of the Not for profit Aged Care Sector, and that the governance knowledge of our organisations’ future board members is of utmost importance.

The board of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc is therefore offering one board position for a Lutheran person, with a scholarship providing Governance training and membership to the Institute of Company Directors to the value of approx. $5,000, in exchange for a minimum of 4 years’ service on the board of Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc.

Permanent Part-Time

Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc. aims to provide excellence in Christian Care and is proud to serve residents with excellent fresh flavoursome food.

We are seeking a Cook who can create nutritious full flavoured quality meals and work in harmony with our catering team. Preparation of resident meals and snacks for consumption will be as per the planned weekly menus & recipes. It is necessary to prepare and present food within set time frames to ensure freshness, quality, meet the choice of our residents and maintain food safety.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Minimum Qualification of Certificate lll in Commercial Cookery
  • Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Understanding of legislative food hygiene requirements
  • Holds and maintains a satisfactory police check no more than 3 years’ old



  • Previous experience in aged care catering
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements of the elderly
